FAQ

Common questions

SA de CV is the traditional corporation — suitable for most businesses, requires at least 2 shareholders and a notary. SAS (Sociedad por Acciones Simplificada) can be formed online by a single person at lower cost but has revenue limits (~5M MXN/year). SAPI is designed for investment structures with multiple investor classes. We recommend the right structure based on your revenue, ownership, and growth plans.

With all documents ready, a SA de CV takes 3-6 weeks through a notary. A SAS can be formed in as little as 1-3 business days online. We manage the process end-to-end, including SAT registration, bank account opening coordination, and initial accounting setup.

Yes, in most sectors. Mexico allows 100% foreign ownership in the majority of industries. Some restricted sectors (energy, media, transportation) have ownership limits. We advise on structure before incorporation to ensure full compliance.

Banks require your company's RFC, constitutive act (acta constitutiva), proof of address, and identification for all shareholders and legal representatives. Some banks also require a minimum deposit. We coordinate with the bank and prepare all required documentation.

After incorporation you must file monthly ISR and IVA declarations, maintain proper bookkeeping with CFDI support, register and pay IMSS for any employees, and file an annual tax return. We set all of this up from day one so nothing falls through the cracks.
